FFAG Lattice Design
We specialise in the design and optimisation of Fixed-Field Alternating-Gradient (FFAG) accelerator lattices. Our expertise includes:
- Design and simulation of FFAG storage rings using COSYFFAG, a specialised FFAG module for COSY INFINITY that we have developer-level experience with
- Advanced analysis leveraging COSY INFINITY’s high-precision capabilities including accurate fringe field treatment, high-order transfer maps, and field map integration
- Optimisation approaches ranging from gradient descent to sophisticated heterogeneous island model evolutionary optimisation
- Supporting radiation shielding simulations using MCNP
